Canutillo Man, 50, Booked on Federal Transfer in Doña Ana Drug Case

Allegedly... Antonio Valles, 50, of Canutillo, Texas, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Aug. 14, 2025 on a federal transfer, according to jail records listing booking number 2500006834. The booking log lists a single felony count described as "All Other Offenses," with no bond set. A November 2024 news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico names Antonio "Tony" Valles, then 49, of Canutillo, Texas, among 29 defendants charged in a multi-agency federal indictment out of Doña Ana County. Prosecutors alleged Valles conspired to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl and that a residence linked to him was used for drug distribution. If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to life in prison, according to the release. The case was investigated by the DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Las Cruces Police Department, the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office and ATF. All charges are allegations; Valles is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
