Las Cruces Woman, 46, Booked on Felony Auto Theft and Burglary Charges

Allegedly... Cristi Poston, 46, of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on May 18, 2026. She faces a multi-count booking including felony charges for unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, burglary, aggravated fleeing from an officer, and possession of methamphetamine. Records indicate she was arrested at 1290 S. Valley and is currently held without bond under booking number 2600003982. According to news reports, Poston is accused of fraudulent activity involving approximately $10,000 and the theft of a 2020 Dodge Charger from a local car dealership. Separate court and news records show deputies responding to a burglary report at a Mesilla residence allegedly discovered Poston inside the home. The booking also includes charges for resisting or obstructing and fraudulent use of a credit card. The charges are allegations, and Poston is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
