Las Cruces Man, 30, Sentenced for Federal Bank Robbery Convictions

Daniel Guereca, a 30-year-old resident of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Nov. 22, 2025. Listed under booking number 2500009483, he was processed on a felony charge following an arrest in Cibola County. He is currently held without bond. According to federal court and news records, Guereca pleaded guilty to robbing a U.S. Bank in Los Lunas and a PNC Bank in Las Cruces during February 2025. The FBI had previously issued a public alert seeking his whereabouts in connection with the Las Cruces robbery before he was taken into custody and entered his plea in federal district court. Court and news records indicate Guereca was convicted in this case.
