Sunland Park Man, 43, Booked on Open Murder Charge in Fatal Shooting

Allegedly... Edgar Perez, a 43-year-old resident of Sunland Park, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Oct. 14, 2025. Perez faces a first-degree murder charge following an arrest at 101 Mimbre Dr. in connection with booking number 2500008475. He is currently being held without bond. According to news and court records, Perez is accused of fatally shooting Jesus "Marvin" Alba De La Cruz on Palma Drive.
