Las Cruces Man, 19, Booked on Drug Distribution and Release Violations

Allegedly... Esteban Orlando Munoz, 19, of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on May 7, 2026. Munoz faces multiple felony charges including three counts of distribution of controlled or imitation substances and one count of failure to comply with conditions of release. He was arrested at locations on Copper Loop and Calle Paraiso, with total bonds set at $12,500. According to news reports, Munoz is also identified as a suspect in a fatal shooting at a Las Cruces park. Court and news records indicate he was arrested on charges of armed robbery and conspiracy in connection with that deadly incident.
