Las Cruces Man, 26, Booked on Felony Warrant and Accused in Prison Stabbing

Allegedly... Fabian M. Bojorquez, 26, of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on July 16, 2026. Records indicate he was taken into custody at 311 N. Date Street in Truth or Consequences on a felony charge of failure to appear. He is currently held on a $2,500 bond under booking number 2600005638. According to news reports and court documents, Bojorquez faces separate charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a deadly weapon by a prisoner. These allegations stem from a Nov. 25, 2025, incident at the Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility where he was accused of stabbing another inmate eight times. Although prosecutors sought to keep him in pretrial detention for the stabbing case, a judge denied that request and allowed for his conditional release. The charges are allegations, and Bojorquez is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
