Las Cruces Woman, 35, Booked on Felony Shoplifting and Retail Theft Charges

Allegedly... Felicia Fae Peters, 35, of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Dec. 11, 2025. She faces multiple charges including felony shoplifting between $2,500 and $20,000, felony theft, and misdemeanor assault. Booking records indicate she was arrested at 1608 Birch and is currently being held without bond under booking number 2500009960. According to news reports and court records, Peters was arrested in connection with an alleged organized retail crime scheme involving more than $10,600 in merchandise stolen from several local stores. The Albuquerque Journal reported that the investigation focused on a retail theft ring where items were allegedly stolen and then sold online. The charges also include an allegation of attempted battery related to the incidents. The charges are allegations, and Peters is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
