Las Cruces Woman, 18, Booked on Multiple Battery and Resisting Charges

Allegedly... Genesis Rodriguez, an 18-year-old resident of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Oct. 13, 2026. Under booking number 2600008177, she faces multiple misdemeanor counts including aggravated battery, two counts of battery, resisting or obstructing, and failure to appear. Records indicate she was taken into custody at 4467 El Faro St and is currently held without bond. The charges involve allegations of physical contact and interference with law enforcement. Aggravated battery, even when classified as a misdemeanor, typically involves an intentional touching or striking of another person with the intent to injure. The arrest at a residential address on El Faro Street suggests the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of local Las Cruces authorities. The charges are allegations, and Rodriguez is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
