Genovevo Gallegos, 36, of Las Cruces Booked on Felony Charge

Allegedly... Genovevo Gallegos, 36, of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Dec. 17, 2025, on a single felony count listed on intake paperwork as an other offense, according to booking records. No bond amount was set, and the arrest location was not listed on the sheet. A person by the same name was previously reported by KFOX and CBS4 Local as one of three people arrested in June 2022 after a Las Cruces pursuit involving a stolen vehicle. A separate 2019 New Mexico Court of Appeals opinion in State v. Genovevo Gallegos Jr. involved a Doña Ana County methamphetamine possession conviction. It is not confirmed whether those earlier matters involve the same person booked this month. The charges are allegations; Gallegos is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
