Las Cruces Man, 19, Booked on Murder Charge in Fatal Road Rage Shooting

Allegedly... Jonathan Estrada, 19, of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Sept. 25, 2025. He faces multiple felony charges including second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and a probation violation, along with counts of shooting at a dwelling or vehicle and aggravated assault. Estrada is currently held without bond under booking number 2500008003 following an arrest at 6335 Bataan Memorial West. According to news reports, the charges stem from a June 2, 2025, road rage incident that resulted in the death of 14-year-old Alejandro Roman.
