Las Cruces Woman, 28, Booked on Dwi and Felony Court Commitment Charges

Allegedly... Justine Destiny Barboa, a 28-year-old resident of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Oct. 8, 2026. She faces multiple misdemeanor charges including aggravated DWI, possession of an open container, driving with a suspended license, and a tail lamp violation, all originating from an arrest at 6th and Wilson. Additionally, she is being held without bond on a felony court commitment charge under booking number 2600008072. According to news reports from KFOX14 and KRQE, Barboa was previously identified in a separate investigation involving allegations of child abuse. Court and news records show she was accused of two counts of child abuse after authorities reported that children in her care showed signs of neglect and tested positive for controlled substances.
