Santa Teresa Man, 20, Booked on Attempted Murder and Battery Charges

Allegedly... Kevin Marin, 20, of Santa Teresa, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Oct. 13, 2025. He faces felony charges of attempted capital murder and aggravated battery against a household member with a deadly weapon. Marin was arrested at 5910 Ashwood St. and is currently being held without bond under booking number 2500008469. According to news and court records, the charges stem from an incident where Marin allegedly shot his mother 11 times. Prosecutors have indicated they intend to present the case to a grand jury for formal indictment. The arrest follows a previous law enforcement encounter in nearby El Paso, Texas, though the current charges originated in Doña Ana County.
