Las Cruces Man, 18, Booked on Felony Stolen Vehicle Charge

Allegedly... Luciano Sambrano, an 18-year-old resident of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Oct. 1, 2026. Sambrano faces a felony charge of receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle following his arrest at 2155 W. Picacho Ave. Booking records indicate he is currently being held without bond under booking number 2600007923. The charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle involves the possession of a motor vehicle that the individual knows or has reason to believe was stolen. The arrest took place within the jurisdiction of Las Cruces law enforcement, and the no-bond status indicates he will remain in custody pending a scheduled court appearance. The charges are allegations, and Sambrano is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
