Las Cruces Man, 24, Booked on Multiple Felony Assault and Burglary Charges

Allegedly... Luis Sanchez, a 24-year-old resident of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Aug. 11, 2026. Records indicate he was taken into custody at 428 E Hadley under booking number 2600006399. Sanchez faces five separate counts including two felony charges of aggravated assault, breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit a fourth-degree felony, and a misdemeanor battery charge. He is currently being held without bond. The charges stem from an incident at a residence on East Hadley Avenue where multiple felony and misdemeanor allegations were filed. In New Mexico, aggravated assault involves an unlawful attack or threat of violence with a deadly weapon or with the intent to commit a felony.
