Las Cruces Man, 33, Booked on Felony Shoplifting and Conspiracy Charges

Allegedly... Miguel Angel Garcia, a 33-year-old resident of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Aug. 31, 2026. Authorities recorded his booking under number 2600006992 following an arrest at 1835 Nevada. Garcia faces multiple felony and misdemeanor counts, including shoplifting items valued between $500 and $2,500, conspiracy to commit a fourth-degree felony, and five separate counts of failure to appear. The charges involve a mix of new allegations and existing warrants for missing previous court dates. A fourth-degree felony conspiracy charge in New Mexico suggests an agreement between two or more parties to engage in criminal activity.
