Las Cruces Man, 27, Faces Charges After High-Speed Pursuit on Roadrunner Parkway

Allegedly... Oscar Angel Valenzuela, a 27-year-old resident of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Nov. 1, 2025. He faces multiple felony charges including aggravated fleeing from a law enforcement officer, burglary, breaking and entering, and criminal damage to property exceeding $1,000. Valenzuela is currently being held without bond under booking number 2500008942 following an arrest at 3050 N. Roadrunner Pkwy. According to news reports, the incident began on Oct. 20 when Valenzuela was reportedly discovered asleep in a parked vehicle with a firearm on his lap. Court and news records show that he allegedly woke up and led police on a high-speed chase through the city before his eventual apprehension. The booking record also lists a charge for failure to comply with conditions of release and conspiracy to commit a third-degree felony. The charges are allegations, and Valenzuela is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
