Berino Man, 28, Convicted of Fatal Hit-and-Run, Booked for Violations

Oscar Ivan Anchondo, 28, of Berino, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Jan. 22, 2026. Under booking number 2600000544, he faces felony charges for both parole and probation violations. He is currently being held without bond. According to news reports, Anchondo was previously sentenced to eight years in prison for a 2019 hit-and-run that claimed the life of a Gadsden High School student.
