Las Cruces Man, 42, Booked on Multiple Counts of Failure to Comply

Allegedly... Samuel Aguilar, a 42-year-old resident of Las Cruces, was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on Aug. 4, 2025. Records indicate he was taken into custody on booking number 2500006551 and faces multiple misdemeanor charges, including eight counts of failure to comply with conditions of release, failure to appear, and a court commitment. Aguilar is currently being held without bond following his arrest near El Paseo and Idaho. According to news reports, Aguilar was among 14 individuals arrested during a retail theft sting operation conducted by local police at various stores in Las Cruces. The enforcement action resulted in a series of charges for the individuals involved, including the various compliance and appearance violations listed in Aguilar's booking file. The charges are allegations, and Aguilar is presumed innocent unless and until a court finds otherwise.
